On 7 December 2025, Nahdet Misr Environmental Solutions and Renergy Group Partners held a joint meeting to explore possible cooperation on waste-to-energy projects in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The discussion formed part of wider efforts to support the green transition and strengthen partnerships between Egyptian companies.

Nahdet Misr Environmental Solutions was represented by Engineer Hossam El Din Emam, Chairman and Managing Director; Engineer Ahmed Sharif Lotfy, Vice Chairman; Engineer Randa Mamdouh Fada, Managing Director for Technical Affairs, Central Sectors and Implementation Monitoring; and technical specialists and consultants.
Representatives and experts from Renergy Group Partners also attended. The company specialises in sustainable-energy development and waste-to-energy solutions.
Areas for cooperation
The parties compared their strategic objectives and discussed cooperation on developing and implementing municipal and industrial waste-to-energy projects. The projects are intended to reduce reliance on sanitary landfills, lower carbon emissions and use available resources more efficiently, while meeting internationally recognised environmental and technological standards.
The discussion also covered Egypt’s approach to integrated waste management and new and renewable energy under Egypt Vision 2030, the national strategy for the green transition and the private sector’s role in supporting these goals through effective, sustainable partnerships between national companies.
Participants highlighted the value of combining Egyptian technical and administrative expertise to create value for the national economy, advance sustainable development, protect the environment and improve citizens’ quality of life.
Next step
The meeting is an initial step towards a possible strategic partnership. The companies will study future waste-to-energy projects that support more sustainable and efficient resource management in Egypt.
