Tridacna Maxima clams
At Port Ghalib, Green Tech Egypt breeds Tridacna Maxima clams sustainably and with great care. The minimum order is 500 clams in a mix of coloured, bi-colour and brown varieties.
Dr Mahmoud Hanafy—an eminent Marine Biologist, HEPCA board member and Professor at Suez Canal University—leads the breeding farm.
The breeding site was renovated in 2021. Ten new fibreglass tanks were installed with new pumps, blowers, a pergola and a tank reservoir, tripling the wet-lab capacity.
