South Sinai Governor receives El-Tor green-energy project delegation

The meeting reviewed technical, economic, environmental and infrastructure studies for the planned green-energy and green-hydrogen project in El-Tor City.

Major General Dr Ismail Mohamed Kamel, Governor of South Sinai, and Dr Enas Samir, Deputy Governor, received a Renergy Group Partners delegation to review the Green Energy and Green Hydrogen production project planned for El-Tor City. The meeting supported the state’s direction towards clean energy and green investment.

The delegation included Robert Valk, Chairman of the Board, and company specialists.

Studies reviewed

The participants reviewed progress through the project-development stages and the studies completed to date. These covered green-hydrogen production using renewable energy, economic feasibility, environmental impacts, infrastructure plans, mechanisms for connecting to the electricity grid and the proposed implementation phases.

Governorate support

The Governor affirmed South Sinai’s commitment to projects that advance sustainable-development goals, create jobs for residents and strengthen the governorate’s position as a promising clean-energy location. This aligns with Egypt’s objective of expanding green-hydrogen production and attracting high-quality investment to the sector.

The proposed El-Tor project is intended to support the green economy and strengthen Egypt’s competitiveness in regional and international clean-energy markets.
