Cairo, Egypt — September, 2026
Green Tech Egypt today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Alameya Companies Limited Group, a leading Saudi conglomerate with over 40 years of experience across multiple industry sectors, establishing a strategic framework for cooperation in waste management and renewable energy project development within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will explore joint opportunities across a broad range of sectors, including municipal solid waste management, tire recycling, waste-to-energy facilities, and advanced waste sorting technologies, alongside renewable energy initiatives spanning solar power generation, battery storage systems, and green hydrogen and ammonia production.
The partnership brings together Green Tech Egypt’s specialized technical expertise and advanced technology solutions with Al-Alameya’s extensive local market knowledge, established government relationships, and proven construction and project management capabilities across the Kingdom. The agreement outlines a 50/50 profit-sharing structure as the default framework for projects developed under the partnership, with both companies contributing complementary strengths to identify, develop, and implement projects that align with Saudi Vision 2030’s sustainability and diversification goals.
Among the opportunities under active discussion, a waste-to-energy facility has emerged as an early priority for the partnership, with the Parties targeting rapid progress toward a project-specific agreement. Al-Alameya’s site identification capabilities and regulatory relationships, combined with Green Tech Egypt’s waste-to-energy technology and engineering expertise, position the project to move quickly from feasibility into implementation. Both companies see the initiative as a potential flagship demonstration of the partnership’s ability to deliver sustainable waste infrastructure at scale, in direct support of the Kingdom’s municipal waste diversion and clean energy targets.
The MoU establishes a structured framework for project development, beginning with joint opportunity identification and preliminary assessment, followed by detailed feasibility studies covering technical, financial, environmental, and regulatory considerations. Projects that clear this stage will proceed to project-specific agreements defining investment commitments, governance, and implementation timelines.
The Parties will now move forward with identifying priority project opportunities, conducting feasibility studies, and developing project-specific agreements for initiatives across the waste management and renewable energy sectors.
